First Lady Melania Trump has once again drawn attention for her absence from two major Washington events, leaving President Donald Trump to attend without her.

The first was the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on July 24. Trump attended and delivered the evening’s keynote speech, but Melania was not there. The White House said she had a prior commitment but did not provide further details.

Just four days later, Melania was also absent from the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, who died on July 11. Trump attended the service at Washington National Cathedral, where he paid tribute to the longtime South Carolina Republican.
