Crispy Spiced Fried Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate drumsticks in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, cornstarch, and all spices.
  3. Coat each drumstick in flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F.
  5. Fry for 12–15 minutes until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F.
  6. Drain on wire rack. Serve hot.
