Ingredients

1½ cups all-purpose flour

3½ tsp baking powder

1 tbsp sugar

½ tsp salt

1¼ cups milk

1 egg

3 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for pan)
Instructions
Step 1 – Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Step 2 – Mix wet ingredients
In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, and melted butter.
Step 3 – Combine
Pour wet into dry. Mix gently until just combined. Lumps are okay. Do not overmix.
Step 4 – Rest
Let batter sit for 5 minutes.
Step 5 – Cook
Heat a pan on medium flame. Lightly grease with butter. Pour ¼ cup batter for each pancake.
Step 6 – Flip
Cook until bubbles appear on top (about 2 minutes). Flip and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
Step 7 – Serve
Serve hot with butter, honey, or maple syrup.
Pro Tip
Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing makes pancakes tough and dense.
