Ingredients
For Cake:

1 box German chocolate cake mix (or homemade: 2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup cocoa)

3 eggs

1 cup buttermilk

½ cup oil
For Filling (Coconut-Pecan):

1 cup evaporated milk

1 cup sugar
-
3 egg yolks
-
½ cup butter
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
1 ½ cups coconut
-
1 cup chopped pecans
For Frosting:

Chocolate frosting (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
Step 1 – Bake cake
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix cake ingredients. Bake in two 9-inch pans for 30 minutes. Cool completely.
Step 2 – Make filling
In a pan, cook milk, sugar, egg yolks, and butter on medium heat. Stir for 10 minutes until thick. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Let it cool.
Step 3 – Assemble
Place one cake layer. Spread all the coconut-pecan filling on top. Add second cake layer.
Step 4 – Frost sides
Frost only the sides of cake with chocolate frosting. Top stays open with filling visible.
Pro Tip
Traditional way mein filling sirf beech mein aur upar lagti hai. Sides pe nahi.
