Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1: Slice Tomatoes

Cut green tomatoes into ¼-inch thick slices.

Step 2: Prepare Coating Stations

Place flour in one bowl.

In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.

In a third bowl, combine cornmeal, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Step 3: Coat the Tomatoes

Dip each tomato slice into flour, then egg mixture, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.

Step 4: Heat Oil

Heat about ½ inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Step 5: Fry

Carefully place tomato slices into hot oil. Fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

Step 6: Drain

Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 7: Serve

Serve warm with ranch dressing, remoulade sauce, or hot sauce.
